I do not want to use throughout the year, but they look great for the holidays with Christmas lights in the house. They slowly through the spectrum of light and quite interesting. They will also be nice to get a smooth touch-together or party.

If they make them in the "yellow bug lights" I will use 14 of them for use at home the other 11 months of long-term. They spend a lot about as light as a ball 9w CF. What I think about 40-50watt light. Fine forwhat we use it for. They are expensive, but they will pay for themselves in just a few years. (I paid $ 15). They only use 1 watt of electricity.
